Extremities entirely without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked pages and firm, sound binding; near fine and housed in original unclipped, lightly shelfworn dustjacet (now housed in protective mylar cover). Overall, very good+. A thoroughly lovely edition.

Minimal foxing to half-title otherwise a near fine copy. Twenty-three color plates mounted on cream stock with decorative border, captioned tissue guards. "In some of the pictures for this book Dulac continues with the Chinese style developed for Princess Badoura the year before. In others, he reduces the scale and adds a richness of detail to create an effect similar to that seen in Persian and Indian miniature art.
