Moderate thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking, creasing and staining to gutters; some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Identically bound in dark green leather with five raised bands along spines, gilt title and decorations in compartments. The boards have some scuff marks, the spines are sun-bleached. Some books have splits along the spine edges. The closed paged edges are marbled as are the end papers. Hinges and text blocks generally sound. No inscriptions. A few spots to end papers but internally pages generally clean and clear. Abundant plates with tissue-guards present. A very well preserved set appearing infrequently handled, especially internally. May incur additional postage charges overseas.
