Ink and pencil names to ffep and pastedown. Delightful graphic images on cover and spine show typical for age light rubbing and spotting scattered. General light edge/corner wear with a few threads. Sage-green cloth pictorially stamped in gilt, dark green and red, blind stamped rules on rear. Brown endpapers; 8 full-page b&w illustrations. One-inch tear at bottom of outer rear hinge, spine ends and corners a bit worn, outer hinges a bit rubbed, spine slightly sunned and a tad cocked. Nonetheless, a solid, internally clean copy with the striking cover stamping still surprisingly bright.
