Amusing short stories written in Runyon's characteristic style of avoiding the use of past tense and making great use of slang words. First edition. With an introduction by E.C. Bentley, monochrome illustrations by Nicholas Bentley and the original dustwrapper. In original dustwrapper and red cloth binding. Externally, there is chipping, slight loss and small close tears to the dustwrapper with some fading to the spine. Internally, sound, there is some slight age toning to the front endpaper, but the text is otherwise very bright and clean. There is also a copperplate inscription dated Christmas 1937. Very Good
