Publisher's mid-green cloth lettered in gilt to spine and front board decorated in blind, illustrated endpapers, edges untrimmed, pictorial dust-wrapper. Tiny nicks to cloth joints, inside paper joints started, dust-wrapper a shade toned to spine else fine. An attractive copy. Yeats was a poet whose autobiography depicts his childhood, of being an Irishman growing up in England and the racially motivated bullying and hostility he faced, in a poetic style. Yeats was the first Irishman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1923, and served as an Irish Senator for two years.
