A review of sorts by Alden of the Queen's title, Leaves From The Journal Of Our Life In The Highlands, that had been published by Harper & Brothers in 1868. Illustrations include the ferry of the Spey, the Prince's encampment at Feithort, a Welsh woman, the Dutchman's cap, views of Balmoral Castle from the northwest and southeast, and portraits of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert from 1840.
