Smaller, sturdy book, quality dark blue cloth, very bright detailed gilt illustration of author on center front, gilt lettering very fine on spine, 256 lightly browned pages, some pages uncut. On all of first front end paper in black ink: "For Laurence Marbs who did buy this book and paid (?) too much for it and this is the cause of the happy expression on the (?) face of," with drawing of smiling bald man in suit at bottom, followed by a scribbled signature. Very slight wear to tips and spine edges. Very Good.
