Vol. II boards detached but present. Vol. I heavy chipping and bumping to leather but binding intact. However both bindings will probably need to be replaced. Heavy rubbing/bumping to boards, both volumes. Textblocks good, near VG apart from the minor foxing.

Contemporary full panelled calf, gilt ruled raised-ribbed spines with contrasting labels, red sprinkled edges (joints worn but casings firm; boards rather scratched and corners chafed and bumped). Pp. [iv] + lx + viii + 768 + [2] blank [&] [vii] + 770-1650 + [50] tables and index + [2] blank, illus with engraved frontispiece in vol I and 35 numbered plates (plates 20, 26 and 34 absent in vol II; some water staining on front and rear prelims and margins of pages of both vols; previous owner's armorial bookplate on front paste-downs).

Dublin: Printed for Edward and John Exshaw at the Bible on Cork-Hill, 1748. Full Leather. Fair/No Dust Jacket. Complete in six volumes. Five folding maps. Full leather covers with raised spine bands, and red and black spine labels. Both labels are lacing from Vol. II, and title label is lacking from Vols II and IV. Covers are rubbed and show scattered wear. Several boards are nearly detached. End leaves are darkened. Contents are otherwise clean, complete, and intact.

Edinburgh: Alex. Donaldson, John Wood, & James Meuros, 1767. Full Leather. Good/No Jacket. 8vo. Complete in four volumes covering the entirety of the Old Testament. Indexed at the end of Volume IV. Five folding maps/views, a couple of which show edge wear and small tears. Contemporary polished calf bindings, with raised spine bands, gilt stamped decoration, and red and black spine labels. Covers show a little edge wear and a couple of cracked joints, but remain tight, very clean, and attractive. All spine labels are present and with clear lettering. Frontispiece in volume I and a couple of the blank end leaves are missing. Book plate on front paste down of each volume.
