The Committee of Council gave due consideration to the Report of the Attorney General and recommended that a Commission be issued to appoint Dr. James Milton Hamm, to investigate all matters related to health and savety involved in the working conditions and working environment of mines in Ontario. This report is increasingly scarce. Mining accidents continue to occur in the United States, China, and elsewhere around the world. There is enduring value in this Royal Commission report.
