Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

No issue date, but published during Tennyson's lifetime. Binding is solid. Each thick, stiff page is printed on one side, with a floral border by Summerbell, and is protected by a thinner page. Protective pages are tanned, and illustrated pages somewhat tanned. A few smudges, but no foxing. Black leather cover embossed with gilt titles and floral design -- some wear to edges, but titles all fine, and designs only a little rubbed. .
