Printed for the Author, 1713. Hardcover. Good. . Full tooled calf with gilt lettering and embellishments on spine, gilt dentelles. Light rubbing at edges, light shelf wear. One stain on front board. Overall a really nice copy for its age. A few pages have minor foxing, overall clean. Binding sturdy.

London: Longmans, 1817. Limited. hardcover. very good. Frontispiece portrait of Puckle; decorative title, and 27 small wood engravings by Thurston and James Thompson. [10], x, 96 pages. Short 4to, in an fine contemporary binding of diced Russia covers, the boards with armorial centerpiece surrounded by elaborate gilt and blind-stamped foliate borders. Red morocco spine, presumably later, but equally ornate; inner & outer dentelles, marbled edges. London: Printed for the proprietor by John Johnson, and sold by Longman, et al., 1817. The frontis and title are foxed and dampstained but other pages generally quite clean. Limited ediiton, Large Paper Copy [Imperial Edition], one of 200. With three ALS laid-in -- two from James Rimell & Son Ltd, a London Bookseller to Edgar H. Wells, rare book dealer in New York from 1921 to 1938 on Madison Ave., discussing the authenticity of the Imperial Edition, and one from Philip Hofer [to Wells] on New York Public Library letterhead, verifying this copy as an Imperial Edition together with bibliographical details for the various editions of this work. All letters dated 1932. Hofer also invites Wells to tea, offering to show him copies of the three issue described in his letter. With a series of engravings drawn by John Thurston.
