Clean brown paper-covered boards with green lettering, orange-brown cloth spine with green lettering. Surface wear to bottom board edges; binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Brief previous owner inscription at top of front free endpaper dated '46. Beautifully illustrated by Sheikh Ahmed. 166 pages. Illustrated dust jacket is clean, price clipped, has 3" piece missing at top of spine, additional small edge chips, short closed edge tears; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. This is a beautiful story of desert life by a master of English story-telling. it centers around an Arab family, their daily life, and their white camel. The illustrations by one who knows the country add greatly to the value of the book written for children..
