A very scarce children`s classic by Ida Outhwaite (1888-1960) & her husband Grenbry Outhwaite both from Australia, full of wonderful & charming coloured & black & white plates of fairies, the little people & Goblins etc. some foxing through out as is usually found in this edition , the book has been sumptuously rebound in dark blue morocco leather with raised bands gilt lines, emblems between, title and the date , boards with striking matching dark blue marbled papers and the original paper label laid on. Original endpapers with fairys in brown sepia retained , "This very scarce book looks stunning" . First Edition. Hard Back Morocco Leather. Very Good. Illus. by Ida Rentoul Outhwaite . 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
