The book is in near fine condition clean and bright with just a touch of spotting to the top edge. The dust jacket has just a little marking on the rear panel with a hint of rubbing to the edges, corners and spine tips with minimal surface abrasion. It presents extremely well in the clear, removable cover that now protects it (not shown). The Matthew to whom this book is inscribed was Matthew Clarke, a lifelong friend of Sir Patrick Moore, his father having served in the RAF with Moore.
