Recent quarterbinding (marbled boards attractively backed in leather). 31 cm. Horizontal crease (as usual) on frontis. Other internal soiling and wear but generally sound. No jacket. When we got this book, the binding was beyond repair. We had the binder preserve and mount a small piece (less than the size of a business-card) of the original endpaper on which Locke had INSCRIBED this copy to Dorothy Maynor, the talented singer and founder of the Harlem School of the Arts.
