Octavo. iii (i), 310, (2) 294 (1)pp. Original red quarter cloth over textured gray paper with gilt-stamped title on cover and spine, in original illustrated dustjackets. Black endpapers. With portrait drawing of Joyce reproduced for introduction. First published serialized in The Little Review, and in 1922 in its entirety in Paris. One of the most important works of modernist literature. Text in Hungarian. Some wear of dustjackets along edges, chips, volume one with one medium sized at head of spine, volume two with larger chip at bottom back cover, both rubbed. Previous owner's signature on both title pages, rubbed out partially in volume two. Cloth spines slightly faded, including lettering. Djs in fair to good-, bindings in good+, interiors in very good condition.
