William Gostling is described as a 'native of the place' and minor Canon of the Cathedral. ix, 402pp plus index 16pp. 24 engraved plates all as called for, one of which is a fine folding map of of the city. Modern library binding with library plate to front pastedown. Small stamp to the reverse of title otherwise clean and very good throughout.
