With "over 100 plates illustrating more than 500 pieces", and with "a short sketch of Bow Street runners Townsend and the origin of the police". Condition notes: Boards bumped and worn, with white titles to spine rubbed. Some wear to extremities of spine. Binding sound, pages clean except for smudged one-page, plates all in good condition. Previous owner's name to front paste down and another to the page after the dedication page. A little bumping to the text block.
