Two rear fore-corners are lightly bumped. There is a previous owner's book plate on the front free endpaper and a star stamp on the rear. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustwrapper has minor edge and corner wear. It is price-clipped and the front flap has a tiny corner crease. An attractive copy overall. This is a story of the Haverard children who come into conflict with their father over their futures. A sequel to the author's "The Spring of the Year", and one of a number of books written by the author that chronicles the Quaker Haverard family. Watercolour illustrated dust jacket and pen and ink in-text drawings by Shirley Hughes. .
