Dust jacket is almost in two pieces. Minor foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters with netting slightly exposed, causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild scuffing overall. Spine has light sunning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with with heavy rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall with visible loss and creasing to panels.

London, UK: James Clarke & Co, 1937. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 160pp, with seven full-page photographs, including a frontispiece. In brown cloth-covered boards with green lettering on spine. 8vo. Spine ends and corners lightly rubbed and rounded and moderate foxing on text block edges. Some light foxing on endpapers and very light occasional foxing throughout text block but otherwise internally clean, neat, tight and bright. Dust jacket has some chipping around corners, spine ends and top edge and rubbed along edges, sticker residue on the spine. A vintage travel book of great charm, based on series of the author's articles which appeared in The Scotsman newspaper in the early part of the 20th century.
