Spine has light sunning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with with heavy rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall with visible loss and creasing to panels.

Some light foxing on endpapers and very light occasional foxing throughout text block but otherwise internally clean, neat, tight and bright. Dust jacket has some chipping around corners, spine ends and top edge and rubbed along edges, sticker residue on the spine. A vintage travel book of great charm, based on series of the author's articles which appeared in The Scotsman newspaper in the early part of the 20th century.
