Gold lettering/ornaments remain bright and shiny. Scattered tiny brown speckles (light foxing) on the edges of the textblock. NO owner's name or bookplate. All text is clean. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. Hardcover. First printing with "First Published 1933" so stated on the copyright page, and NO indication of any other printing. Illustrated with map endpapers. Novel by the author of the Jacobite Trilogy. The author, Dorothy Kathleen Broster (1877-1950), served as a Red Cross nurse during World War I. . First Printing of the First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good condition/No jacket. 8vo. 358pp.
