Page 15/16 has a 1.5" tear at the bottom joint. 32 lightly tanned, clean pages of text plus 28 unpaginated pages of glossy photo paper quality, containing 18 color illustrations of Churchill's paintings. Paper over boards shows fraying on front edge of spine.

Some spotting to endpapers and textblock edges. Board edges show signs of wear. Internally clean. Dust-jacket has tears along spine and edges, jacket spine worn. Very good.

Painting as a Pastime is the fourth impression of the work, originally published in 1948, and includes numerous full colour photographs of Churchill's artistry. The Anthology contains selections of his writings and speeches.
