This work consists of his 32-page essay on the merits of painting, and with 18 gloss paper plates displaying some of his landscapes and still lifes. --- A slim hardcover booklet in green leaf-patterned paper-covered boards, without a dust jacket. With a black & white photographic frontis portrait of Sir Winston at the easel. --- A well-preserved copy, but the essay portion's leaves have become somewhat tanned. Interior is tightly-bound and unmarked; plates remain bright and colors are vivid.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; 32, 18 plates pages .
