Boosey and Co., 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. Royal Edition. 244 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt titles and decoration to front and spine. New English adaptation by Charles Lamb Kennedy. Edited by Arthur Sullivan and J Pittman. All text block edges gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Text block edges dusty. Faint creases to some pages. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Joints worn too. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Water stains to front and rear. Book has a moderate forward lean. Gilt is bright.
