Publisher's compliments plate with unknown inscription to front free endpaper. Black and white photographic plates all present as expected. Moderate foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking and staining to gutters but binding remains firm. Slight stains to upper margins. All pages slightly warped. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has similar tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean with mildly bowed boards. Unevenly dust-marked overall. Small droplet mark to rear. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall. Slight water staining to front and rear panels. Spine is sunned.
