Written by the son of Billy Bishop, This is an overview of the many important fought by Canadians from the time of the epic battle on the Plains of Abraham, which helped create the nation of Canada. The most well-known battles are those of WWI such as Vimy Ridge. By the end of the war the Canadians had become an elite fighting force under Sir Arthur Currie. They also fought in WWII at the tragic battle of Dieppe and the landings on D-Day. The final battle covered is in Korea.
