Written in French by Mr. Rapin de Thoyras. Translated into English, with additional notes, by N. Tindal, Vicar of Great Waltham in Essex (Vols. I & II) and Continued from the Revolution to the Accession of King George II by N. Tindal (Vols. III & IV). Packed weight approx. 10kg. Four matching contemporary full leather large folio volumes with some wear at spine-ends and rubbed edges, front joint/hinge of Volume II is split with cover attached by cords. Volume III has short split at head of front joint. Binding is otherwise sound. End-papers are a little darkened. Pages, plates, fold-out maps and tables are all clean.
