About Item: Calton: T & A D Poyser, 1984. First Edition . Cloth - Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 304 pages, plus eight colour plates by the author. Volume is sold along with the eight original gouache paintings from which the plates were copied. Each painting is on a 10 x 14 inch sheet, though edges have been taped and a clear mylar(?) sheet loosely laid over with boarders showing useable space for copying. Each plate is signed by C. H. Fry and dated 1984. The painting identified to be plate number 2 shows moisture damage at lower left edge not affecting image. This damage was present prior being copied for the book, and the exact damage is seen in the bound plate number 2. Otherwise, paintings remain bright, beautiful, and in fine condition.
