About Item: EDINBURGH: W.P. NIMMO, HAY & MITCHELL. Undated but probably circa 1910. Hard cover with a white exterior binding, exterior binding decorated with an embossed gold scroll work pattern(a flower and leaf design). Heads of some flowers in black. Abbreviated title 'Tennyson's Poetical Works' on a brown(tombstone shaped) background. Pale blue boards. Slight wear on board edges. Slight bending on cover turning points. Rust on bottom corner of front board. Several small stains on front and back boards and light soiling on binding. Edge of front board is slightly crumpled, the book has probably had some slight water damage. But this has not affected the book's interior. Top of book's pages are gilt edged. Bound tissue(like tracing paper) paper before title page. Slight foxing on some page edges. Clean pages. Strong binding. No inscriptions. Book has an intact ribbon bookmark. A robust copy of a scarce title. Location: A6 . Very Good. Hardcover.
