About Item: New York: Kongress Bukharskikh Evreev SSHa I kANADI, 2008. Two large volumes in original slipcase. These are articles from the newspaper Bukharsko-evriskii mir (Bukharian Jewish World) published in New York from 1996-2001 and articles, sketches about Bukharian Jews publised in the mass media of America, Israel, Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Text is chiefly in russian with some in English or Hebrew. Each volume has 319 pages with hundreds of color photographs from the newspapers and events. Each volume has a 3" inch beginning tear on outer joints else fine in every respect. Very few copies were produced and most were given only to the leaders of the Bukharian Jewish Congress. Weight for shipping outside of the U.S. is 12 lbs.
