About Item
about writing books and articles, which Marchant would place with Cassell's or Newnes, and about the Archbishop's proposed meeting "about the Shakespeare question", 6 sides 8vo., Ealing, Brighton and Christ Church Vicarage, 26th May 1915 - 24th November Campbell startled the evangelical world in 1907 with his 'New Theology', which restated Christian belief in terms of the higher criticism. He was ordained in the C. of E. in 1916. In 1918 the Baptist divine J.H. Shakespeare put forward the idea of 'federation' between the denominations in his thoughtful "The Churches at the Crossroads", published by Cassell's. Randall Davidson responded and much discussion ensued at the Lambeth Conference of 1920. With Marchant's notes about royalties on the first letter.
