Gift inscription at head of first page of text dated Dec. 25, 1908. The story told in verse about 3 brothers--Frank Best, Harry Good, and Tommy Reckless--and how Santa and Frank teach Tommy "True penitence" for killing Frank's dog. McLoughlin issued this story at least three times with different illustrations. This edition has a copyright date on the front cover, but the illustrator is not identified.
