Introduction by Douglas Southall Freeman. One of 1500 numbered copies illustrated with oil paintings by John Steuart Curry, his last illustrations for a book, reproduced in offset lithography by Fretz Freres, Zurich, Switzerland. Issued unsigned as the artist died before publication.
