Cloth, dj, VG/G.231pp, 16pp b/w plates, a nice copy in a rubbed & edge chipped dustjacket that has a 2 inch section missing from the upper panel with the loss of the word 'Blind' from the title, rear panel of the jacket grubby. Account of an overland expedition to Iraq the aim of which was to discover if rumours of a blind fish living in the water channels of the region were true. The study took the team into the Qanats - manmade underground conduits from which water is transported & bought to the surface, dangerous & hard work. The scientists also lived in the Perisan villages of the region.
