About Item: Paris: De L'Imprimerie De Firmin Didot, 1824. Exotic. Very Good +. 4 3/8 x 7 3/8 inches. 18 pages, 4 feps at front and rear. Title page with small owner's stamp of "Mr [Henri] Milne Edwards," the noted 19th Century zoologist (1800-1885). All page edges uncut. A little light foxing and the old endpapers are lightly soiled. Bound by John Field (with binder's ticket) in modern full yellow water buffalo with blind rolled borders and red spine label with gilt title and new endpapers. Provenance: Henri Milne Edwards, Library of Henry and Virginia Walton Harry and Virginia Walton were lifelong residents of Covington, Virginia, a small town in the Allegheny Mountains. Harry was a graduate of Lynchburg College, and Virginia was a graduate of the Lynchburg General School of Nursing.
