The book in its grey coloured cloth with the Brooklyn Institute of arts and sciences colophon on the front panel has only darkened slightly on the top edge. Internally, apart from the original bookseller's sticker at the lower right-hand corner of the front paste down, the book is free of blemish. These are rare papyri of the 5th century BC, a collection unique in the Western world, are published here for the 1st time.
