About Item: New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. 1949. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Blue/green cloth. With only 1949 to the title page. Signed and dated in the year of publication by Politi. He has also included a small color sketch. Minor bumps to the spine ends. Some toning to the endpapers. All else is nearly fine; very clean. The dust jacket has some small chips to the spine ends and lower corners. To the front and rear, lower edge there is a 1" tear, each repaired on the verso with a small piece of clear tape. Another 3/8" tear to the upper, front. Price clipped. Caldecott Award Winner. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; Signed by Author .
