About Item: London: Pall Mall Ltd. 1937. 8vo. First Edition, very scarce in its original dust jacket. [xviii., 192] pp. 'Coronation Edition 1937'. Blue hardcover boards with gilt decoration to front and gilt text to spine. Boards clean and bright, with very minor wear to the corners and spine ends. In its original illustrated and glittery parchment paper dust jacket, which is torn at the edges, sunned to spine, and has a small mark to the head of the back panel. Binding firm and internally very clean, without ownership inscriptions. Illustrated throughout by Frederick Carter. Collection of cocktail recipes complied by W. J. Tarling and published to raise money for the Bartenders' Guild Sickness Benefit Fund and The Cafe Royal Sports Club Fund, during the period Tarling was head bartender of the Cafe Royal.
