Ticket of McWatters, bookseller and stationer of Armagh to FEP, near contemporary inked gift inscription to recto of FFEP, foxed. The third published work of novelist Grace Kennedy (1782-1825), a sorrowful, evangelical tale of an impoverished young girl who's health rapidly deteriorates after sustaining an injury to her leg. Kennedy's novels (at least eight) were all published anonymously and rapidly in the early 1820s, and met with considerable success, being reissued late into the nineteenth century. .
