Early reprint of first edition in gilt lettered green cloth. 2nd issue Dust jacket (with photo of author on rear panel with 3 book reviews) has small closed tear near front edge and shallow chip along top of spine. $3 price intact on bottom of front jacket flap. Red portion of jacket spine lightly sunned but red on front panel still bright. 1/3" chip at bottom of front panel on jacket. Former owners brief gift inscription on fep dated Christmas 1947. Nice tight attractive book. No statement of printing, In mylar. Nearly 8 1/4" tall at spine.. Early Printing. Green Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
