Softcover with dust jacket glued to spine, 187 pages including 171 black-and-white illustrations;---text in Dutch;---gently used although edges bumped, dust speckling to top edge, attractive bookplate designed by previous owner (Dutch-Canadian silhouette artist and graphic designer Hans-Detlev Voss who still lived and worked in The Netherlands during the 1930s/1940s; this is his personal copy acquired from his estate) on first page and his tiny ink numeral on back flap, light foxing spots to just a few pages, all pages very clean and unmarked; DJ age toned, bumped along edges;---as a further note, there are several references in the "Lijst Van Namen" to the Dutch artist H.
