Knox fought in Cuba under Roosevelt and later in World War One in France; he opposed FDR's New Deal, running as Landon's VP shortly after publication of this book, but eventually serving as FDR's secretary of the Navy during the Second World War. The author credits Knox, a reporter and newspaper publisher, with forcing TR to run against Taft and getting Osborn elected as Michigan's Progressive Republican governor in 1912; he later ran the Chicago Daily News. Stated first edition (first printing). Small hardcover, full blue cloth, yellow titling. Light wear to book, corners bumped; jacket lightly rubbed with minor chips, several small ink marks on front panel. Text clean; [8], 184 pages.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Duodecimo.
