Slightly age speckled on the top page edges, dj is chipped slightly at the top of the spine (about 1/4 inch), dj spine is darkened, there is an unobtrusive damp stain on dj. Included with the book is a post card apparently signed by someone associated with the author, perhaps the author's wife (signiture looks like "Geo G."). The book itself is not signed by the author. Included is a photocopy of a letter signed by George Grosz showing his handwriting which is similar to the handriting on the postcard. The postcard is to Laura Monypenny, daughter of Professor Phillip Monypenny, professor of Political Science at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. The postcard tells of the author's experience with dogs while visiting in Germany. Dogs are apparently a common point of interest between Laura and the author.
