Description:
The items are presented in a double-sided glazed frame, with the signed items on one side, the ephemera on the other. The Vincent photograph is a deckle-edged publicity shot (200 × 148 mm, SP422); the signed Cochran item (93 × 128 mm) is matted with a printed portrait (147 mm in diameter). The ephemera comprise two colour photocopies: the front cover of the souvenir programme for their English tour, and a ticket stub to one of the concerts. External dimensions 590 × 243 mm; all items are in excellent condition. The programme was produced for the English tour of the two American rock and roll stars. 'Larry Parnes set up a tour, mostly two houses a night, from January 24 to April 16, 1960, a combination of complete weeks in the big cities and one-night stands elsewhere. He completed the bill with his own artists, Billy Fury, Joe Brown, Vince Eager and Tony Sheridan, as and when they were available' ('The Edwardian Teddy Boy', online).
