Description:
New York: Riverrun Press, 1967. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good. Softcover in matte pictorial wraps. First edition. Wraps are somewhat worn and scuffed but interior pages are mostly fine (last page has a small tear). Laid in is a SIGNED two-page letter typed on parchment paper that Wakoski wrote to literary agent Irene Skolnick, at the time an editor at The Hudson Review. The letter is Wakoski's response to a letter she received from Skolnick. In it, the poet explains that literary magazines like Hudson Review usually reject her poems but she submits them anyway "just to give [the editors] a chance 'to improve their taste,' if you know what I mean." She also writes about Anthony Hecht and other personal matters. 4to. 56 pp.
