Description:
Sydney, NSW, AU: Australasian Publishing. Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Undated (circa 1940s). 266pp, 15 black and white photographic plates (including frontispiece). Brown cloth-covered boards; black titles on spine; line drawn map of Arnhem on endpapers. 8vo. Sun-faded spine, heavily rubbed spine ends with loss of cloth to spine head; corners rubbed and rounded, front bottom corner bumped, moderate wear to boards, black stains on rear cover and front board edge; volume loose. Text block edges tanned, small black stain to lower fore edge. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper (dated 1946). Internally pages are lightly age toned, otherwise neat, clean and bright. An interesting book of life in the Northern Territory, with chapters on Cattle Days; Desert Days; Borroloola Days and more. Also includes poems for most chapters.
