At the beginning of its voyage, the Chancellor carried eight passengers and twenty crew members. By the end, only eleven people (five passengers and six crew) remained alive. Alta Edition. Pages: clean, ivory, tight, tan eps, frontis; PO decorative bookplate to front eps, PO info inked and dated 1892 to ffep, front hinge cracked but intact, a.e. well sunned, t,e. dusty. Cover: brick decorative cloth, black/reverse embossed ornamentation front/spine, reverse titles front, black titles to gilt spineblock; modest shelfwear, extrems somewhat worn, back and extrems modestly rubbed, light spot to spine.
