The customs of the inhabitants, their religion, government, and manner of living, before their converfion to the Chriftian religion by the miffionary Jefuits. Together with accounts of the feveral voyages and attempts made for fettling California, and taking actual surveys of that country, its gulf, and coaft of the South-Sea. Illustrated with copper plates, and an accurate map of the country and the adjacent seas. Tranflated from the original Spanifh of Miquel Venegas, a Mexican Jefuit, publifhed at Madrid 1758.
