Slight dog-eared pages throughout and heavy tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and sunning with moderate bumping to corners. Heavy crushing to spine ends and major sunning to spine. Splitting to joints and fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.

Contains black and white photographic and illustrated plates. Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's dedication to front free endpaper, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Moderate sunning to spine. Boards are subtly bowed. Plates are bright and clear, with slight tanning to edges. Unclipped jacket has heavy surface wear, with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing to spine ends, edges and corners. Price sticker on reverse and rear, with liquid staining to spine.

Original green Embossed Decorative Binding with Wedgwood style dancer in relief to front has a black mark on front board and shows signs of wear particularly around edges and spine. Inside the spine has cracked on FFE and back page but binding is holding nicely. Intermittent foxing throughout.
