New York: Harper & Brothers, 1954. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. 110 pages. Interesting short work from the two time U.S. democratic Presidential candidate. Taken from lectures delivered at Harvard in 1954. A tight very good plus copy in black cloth boards with some toning to the endpapers and in a very good plus dust jacket with some minor wear and the usual rubbing. Signed by Stevenson on the front free endpaper and with a laid in newspaper clipping from the Chicago Daily News featuring a long obituary for Stevenson. Also laid in is a 6 page press release that contains an address that Stevenson gave in April, 1964 at the Honors Day Convocation at the University of Illinois.
